Pablo Herrera Student File

Student file of Pablo Herrera, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on October 15, 1910 and ultimately departed on October 10, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a news clipping, student information cards, applications for enrollment, outing records, a progress/conduct card, a federal financial aid form, medical/physical records, financial transactions, and correspondence. The file indicates Herrera was the disciplinarian at the Greenville Indian School in Greenville California in 1916, worked at the Ford Motor Co. in 1917 on the outing program, and enlisted in the Aviation Section of the United States Army in 1917 and was stationed at Kelly Field in San Antonio, Texas.

Alfred Twoguns Student File

Student file of Alfred Twoguns, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on February 25, 1917. No departure date is given. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, certificates of promotion, financial transactions, and correspondence. The letter indicates that Twoguns worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Detroit, Michigan on the outing program in 1917 and 1918.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Pablo M. Herrera. That document has now been included with the Pablo M. Herrera file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 111_folder 4625.
