John Welch Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, an outing record, and correspondence surrounding his training and service in a naval corps during World War I. The file indicates Welch was stationed at the U.S. Naval training station at Norfolk, Virginia in 1917, on the USS Zuiderdijk in 1918, and was on furlough in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1918.

The file includes student information cards, correspondence, financial transactions, a medical/physical record, outing evaluations, certificates of promotion, a federal financial aid form, financial transactions, and outing records. The file indicates that Welch began working as a seamstress at the Klamath School in Oregon in 1917.

Mary Lonechief Student File

Student file of Mary Lonechief, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1912 and June 11, 1917. The file contains a student information cards, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, financial transactions, an outing record, a certificate of promotion, an outing evaluation, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Lonechief attended the Millersville Normal School in 1914 and 1915 and was working at the East Farm Sanatorium in Phoenix, Arizona in 1918.

Clarence Welch Student File

Student file of Clarence Welch, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1913, and ultimately departed on July 5, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and re-entered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, correspondence, physical records, financial transactions, an outing record, and a certificate of promotion. The files indicate Welch was interested in furthering his education after leaving Carlisle.

Belle Peniska Student File

The file includes a student information card, an application for enrollment, letters/correspondence, an outing record, an outing evaluation, financial transactions, and certificates of promotion. The file indicates that Peniska studied domestic science and worked as an assistant in Springfield, South Dakota.

Wilson Wyly Student File
