William Sherrill Student File

Student file of William Sherrill, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on December 14, 1893, graduated in 1897, and departed on May 18, 1897. The file contains a student information card, a letter, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1911 Sherrill had married Mollie Trexler and was stock raising in Wolf Point, Montana. 

Note: A descendent sent in the correction that Sherrill married Mollie Tramper. Mollie Tramper was also the sister of later student Chiltoski Tramper.

Note: A descendent has sent in the correction that Sherrill married Mollie Tramper, and that Mollie was the sister of Chiltoski Tramper who later attended Carlisle.

Student file of Chiltoski Tramper, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on December 22, 1904 and departed on June 27, 1910. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, a medical/physical record, a financial transaction, an outing record, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Tramper worked as a farm hand in Newtown, Pennsylvania in 1910 and was living in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1916.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Chittoski Tramper, Tossie Tramper and Chiltoski Tramper.

Lottie Tramper Student File

Student file of Lottie Tramper, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on July 1, 1905 and ultimately departed on July 8, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, a medical/physical record, a returned student survey, correspondence related to Tramper's current situation as well as outstanding wages from her outing, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Tramper was living in Birdtown, North Carolina in 1910, living in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1910, and was a cook at the Indian school in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1911 and 1912.

Student information card of Lottie Tramper, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on July 1, 1905 and departed on June 8, 1911. The file indicates Tramper was living in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1913.

Note: Although this information card shows an arrival date of September 1, her file and progress card suggest that she actually arrived on July 1.
