Wilson Doxtator Student File

Student file of Wilson Doxtator, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 23, 1898 and ultimately left on June 30, 1907. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, a report after leaving, and a returned student survey. The file indicates Doxtator was working as a farm hand in Sesseton, South Dakota in 1910 and 1913.

Mitchell Pierce Student File

Student file of Mitchell Pierce, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on December 12, 1899 and ultimately departed on June 22, 1910. The student did not attend the school continuously but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, a progress/conduct card, trade/position record cards, an outing record, a news clipping, a returned student survey, correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Pierce was a farmer in Iroquois, New York in 1911.

Note: In the file the student is referred to as Mitchel Pierce and Mitchell Pierce.

Laban Baird Student File

Student file of Laban Baird, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on June 29, 1900, and departed on July 3, 1902. The file contains a student information card, a news clipping, returned student surveys, a report after leaving, and former student response postcards that indicate Baird was a farmer in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1913. After leaving Carlisle, Baird attended the Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute in Hampton, Virginia from February 1904 to June 1907.

Note: Students Charles Baird and Laban Baird were brothers.

Fred Smith Student File

Student file of Fred Smith, a member of the Onondaga Nation, who entered the school on June 29, 1900 and departed on June 21, 1904. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1911 Smith was a laborer in Syracuse, New York and had married Fannie Williams.

Tom Smith Student File

Student file of Tom Smith, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on September 2, 1901, and departed on September 7, 1906.  The file contains a student information card,a newspaper clipping, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving that indicates that Smith served as an engineer and clerk in Cherokee, North Carolina, in 1910 and 1911.

The file contains a student information card, a position card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that George was working as a farmhand in Syracuse, New York in 1911.

John Foster Student File

Student file of John Foster, a member of the Alaskan Nation, who entered the school on September 15, 1902 and departed on September 1, 1908. The file contains his student information cards, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, a news clipping, and a returned student survey. The file indicates Foster was a millman in the Apollo Quartz Mine Stamp Mill in Unga, Alaska and as bookkeeper for the Alaska Codfish Co. in Unga, Alaska in 1915.

William Adams Student File

Student file of William Adams, a member of the Caddo Nation, who entered the school on February 9, 1903 and departed on January 30, 1908. The file contains a student information card, medical/physical records, a returned student survey, a trade/position record card, correspondence regarding treatment of tuberculosis, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Adams served with a field artillery detachment for the Army, stationed at West Point, New York in 1911, was living in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1914, and living in Cumberland, Maryland in 1915.

Note: The student was also known as Willie Adams.
