Peter Bero Student File

Student file of Peter Bero, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on November 24, 1904 and ultimately departed on September 30, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an outing record, an outing evaluation, student information cards, medical/physical records, applications for enrollment, a returned student survey, report after leaving, a financial transaction, and correspondence. The file indicates Bero was living in Hogansburg, New York in 1910, 1914, and 1915.

Note: A document of Peter Bero was originally found in the folder of another student; Margaret H. Gordon, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 96_folder 4238.

Note: Students Louis Bero and Peter Bero were probably brothers.

Margaret Gordon Student File

Student file of Margaret Gordon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on January 5, 1914 and departed on September 30, 1914. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, a medical/physical record, financial transactions, and correspondence.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Margaret Gordon and Margaret Nejobiness.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Peter Bero. That document has now been included with the Peter Bero file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 88_folder 4033.
