Esiah Galashoff Student File

Student file of Esiah Galashoff, a member of the Alaskan Nation, who entered the school on September 15, 1902 and departed on July 8, 1909. The file contains his student information cards, correspondence, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, and a returned student survey. The file indicates Galashoff was working as a fisherman and a trapper in Belkofski, Alaska in 1911 and a fishing and trapping in Kings Cove, Alaska in 1915.

David Bero Student File

Student file of David Bero, a member of the St. Regis Nation, who entered the school on November 24, 1904, and ultimately departed on September 20, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a photograph, applications for enrollment, correspondence, newspaper clippings with a photo, financial transactions, a conduct card, a returned student survey, a physical record, an outing record, and a report after leaving indicating Bero was working as a laborer in Hogansburg, New York in 1911. 

Note: This student went by the last name Bureau after leaving Carlisle. Some of David Bero's documents were originally found in the folder of another student; Thomas Bear, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 43_folder 2128.

Hiram Chase Student File

Student file of Hiram Chase, a member of the Omaha Nation, who entered the school on October 5, 1911, graduated in 1915, and ultimately departed on May 28, 1915. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, a news clipping, a federal financial aid form, an outing record, a returned student survey, a financial transaction, and correspondence. The file indicates Chase was setting type for the Pender Republic in Pender, Nebraska in 1915.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document related in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Harry Conroy. That document has now been included with the Harry Conroy file: NARA_RG 75_box 82_folder 3863.
