Claude Wilson Printup (Hahsanesos) Student File

The file indicates Printup was living in Akron, New York in 1910.

Andrew Beechtree Student File

Student file of Andrew Beechtree, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 7, 1905 graduated in 1917, and ultimately departed on July, 30, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file includes student information cards, a trade/position record card, a returned student survey, correspondence, a financial transaction, certificates of promotion, a progress/conduct card, former student response postcards, a report after leaving, a federal financial aid form, and outing records. The file indicates that Beechtree studied carpentry, and went on outing with the Ford Motor Company.

McClellan Powlas Student File

Student file of McClellan Powlas, a member of the Onondaga Nation, who entered the school on August 25, 1907, and departed on June 22, 1910.  The file contains a student information card, a physical record, correspondence, a progress card, an application for admission, an outing record, and a report after leaving indicating that Powlas was a student in Syracuse, New York in 1911.

Fred Walker Student File

Student file of Fred Walker, a member of the Omaha Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1908 and ultimately departed on June 9, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a trade/position record card, medical/physical records, applications for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, certificates of promotion, a returned student survey, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Walker worked at the American Iron and Steel Co. in Lebanon, Pennsylvania in 1916.

Note: One of Fred Walker's documents was originally found in the folder of another student; William Joseph Thayer, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 142_folder 5583.

Levi Clute Student File

Student file of Levi Clute, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on January 17, 1909 and departed June 2, 1914. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, medical and physical records, outing evaluations, outing records, a progress and conduct card, and letters and correspondence. 

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Joseph Muggins. Those documents have now been included with the Joseph Muggins file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 92_folder 4135.

The file indicates that Moses was living in Akron, New York in 1913.

Ross Arch Student File

Student file of Ross Arch, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on September 6, 1911 and departed on February 10, 1916. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, physical records, outing evaluations, an outing record, and letters/correspondence. The files indicate that after leaving Carlisle, Arch returned home to Cherokee, North Carolina. 

Note: Students Jennie Arch, Johnson Arch, Olivan Arch, and Ross Arch were siblings.

The file indicates that Poodry was living in Akron, New York in 1913 and the Tonawanda Reservation in Akron, New York in 1914.

Edward Thorpe Student File

Student file of Edward Thorpe, a member of the Sac & Fox Nation, who entered the school on January 17, 1913 and ultimately departed on June 6, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a federal financial aid form, a certificate of promotion, financial transactions, and medical and physical records. The file also contains correspondence regarding his whereabouts, transportation, and enrollment at the school, including letters between the school and his brother James Thorpe.
