Smiley Finley Hopkins Student File

Student file of Smiley Finley Hopkins (also known as Smiley Hopkins and Smiley Finley), a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 14, 1912 and departed on September 19, 1913. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records including an x-ray image, letters/correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Hopkins was working as a laborer in Peever, South Dakota, in 1913.

Note: Student information cards show Hopkins first entered the school on October 31, 1911.

Gertrude Brought Plenty Student File

Abel Greeley Student File

Student file of Abel Greeley, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 29, 1912 and ultimately departed on September 30, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains progress/conduct cards, letters/correspondence, student information cards, an application for enrollment, financial transactions, and an outing record. The file indicates Greeley was living in Peever, South Dakota in 1914 and 1917.

Rose Heaney Student File

Student file of Rose Heaney, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on January 17, 1913, and departed on June 6, 1916. The file contains an application for enrollment, an outing evaluation, student information cards, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, an outing record, and correspondence indicating Heeney had completed her term and was returning home to Fond du Lac, Minnesota in 1916.

Note: The student is referred to as Rose Heaney, Rose Heeney, Rosie Heaney, Rose Heany, and Rose Heaney throughout the file.

Note: Although this card shows an arrival date of January 20, the admissions ledger and her file suggest that she actually arrived on January 17.
