Felix Iron Eagle Feather (Black White-Man) Student File

Student file of Felix Iron Eagle Feather (Black White-Man), a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on November 30, 1882, and departed on July 5, 1893. The file contains a student information card, correspondence related to sending his children to Carlisle, a report after leaving, and a returned student survey indicating that Iron Eagle Feather was a farmer in Rosebud, South Dakota in 1911.

Hugh Leider Student File

Student file of Hugh Leider, a member of the Crow Nation, who entered the school on December 16, 1888 and ultimately departed on December 15, 1899. The student did attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving indicating Leider was a farmer in Hardin, Montana in 1910.

David Abraham Student File

Student file of David Abraham, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 7, 1889, graduated in 1900, and ultimately departed on April 11, 1901. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a returned student survey, former student response postcards, student information cards, a trade/position record card, letters/correspondence about his life after Carlisle with his wife, and a report after leaving indicating Abraham was a shipping clerk in Hatboro, Pennsylvania in 1907 and working for the Santa Fe Railway Company in 1915. Abraham was married to former student Margaret Wilson.

Note: in this file the student is identified as David Abraham and David Abrahams.

Thomas Suckley Student Information Card

Student information card of Thomas Suckley, a member of the Mandan Nation, who entered the school on February 23, 1890 and died on April 16, 1892. Suckley was buried in the cemetery on the school grounds.

Charles Buck (Brockey) Student File

Student file of Charles Buck (Brockey), a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on March 26, 1890 and departed on June 3, 1895. The file contains four picture postcards, two photographs, returned student surveys, correspondence, a news clipping, a student information card, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving that indicates Buck was a rancher in Browning, Montana in 1913.

Note: Buck married fellow student Spyna Devereaux.

Quincy Adams Student File

Student file of Quincy Adams, a member of the Assinaboine Nation, who entered the school on April 15, 1890 and departed on September 30, 1900. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving. The file indicates Adams was a farmer in Poplar, Montana in 1910 and a farmer Fort Peck, Montana in 1911.

Student file of Joseph C. Lujan, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on March 18, 1892 and departed on August 15, 1896. The file contains a student information card listing three outings in Pennsylvania.

Archie Johnson Student File

Student file of Archie Johnson, a member of the Coquelle Nation, who entered the school on August 9, 1894, and departed on September 23, 1898.  The file contains a student information card, correspondence, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, a position card, and a report after leaving indicating that Johnson was working as a farmer in Siletz, Oregon, between 1911 and 1913.

Note:  A relative of Archie Johnson has indicated that he was Coquelle on his mother's side and Shasta on his father's side.

Amy Atsye Student File

Student file of Amy Atsye, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on October 5, 1913 and departed on June 7, 1918. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, an application for enrollment, outing evaluations, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, outing records, a list of "undesirable patrons," and a certificate of promotion. 

Note: Students Amy Atsye and Charles Atsye were apparently siblings.
