Nellie Lillard Student Information Card

Student information card of Nellie Lillard, a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on October 3, 1900 and ultimately departed on August 5, 1904. The card indicates that Lillard graduated in 1904 and married John Martin.

Mary Amera Student File

Student file of Mary Amera, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on March 3, 1905, and departed on June 20, 1910. The file contains a student information card, medical/physical records, applications of enrollment, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, a news clipping, and correspondence written by her father regarding her. The file also contains a returned student survey from 1911 indicating she was living in Fort Lapwai, Idaho and attended Fort Lapwai Highschool after leaving Carlisle.

Note: In this file the student's name appears as Marry Amera, Harriet Amera, and Mary Amier.

Note: Other documentation states that Mary Amerca later married former student Caleb Carter.

John Squirrel (Wagi ta ga mig) Student File

Student file of John Squirrel (Wagi ta ga mig), a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 30, 1910 and ultimately departed on April 20, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, trade/position record card, medical/physical records, student information cards, a progress/conduct card, an outing evaluation, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Martin trained as a track athlete while at school and was living in White Earth, Minnesota in 1913 and 1916.

Note: In this file the student is identified as John Martin and John Squirrel.

The file indicates Brought Plenty was living in Fort Yates, North Dakota in 1914.

Note: In this file the student is referred to as John Brought Plenty, John Bought Plenty, and John Plenty.

Note: Students Gertrude Brought Plenty and John Brought Plenty were siblings.

The file contains a student information card, a newspaper clipping, medical/physical records, letters/correspondence, an application for enrollment, financial transactions, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1914 Armstrong was living in White Earth, Minnesota.

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Earl Armstrong, Andy Armstrong, and Anderson Armstrong.
