Frank Logan Student File

Student file of Frank Logan, a member of the Cayuga Nation, who entered the school on August 26, 1912 and ultimately departed on June 8, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, medical and physical records, an outing evaluation, outing records, financial transactions, and letters and correspondence. A recommendation letter dated July 16, 1918 indicates that Logan had applied for a job at a railway company based in Buffalo, New York.

Note: Other records only list Logan as being a member of the Cayuga Nation. Therefore the notation here of Seneca Nation is probably an error.

Student information cards of Thomas Burns Prairie, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 12, 1913 and departed on September 7, 1916. A note in the file says he re-enrolled on November 19, 1916. The file indicates Burns Prairie was transferred to the Haskell Indian School upon departing Carlisle.

Johnson Hornbuckle Student File
