Justin Head (Rat Head) Student File

Student file of Justin Head, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on February 2, 1884 and departed on March 1, 1892. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, land grants, parole records, an outing evaluation, correspondence concerning Head's parole, a trade/position record card, a medical/physical record, financial transactions, newspaper clippings, a Senate resolution, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Head was living in Florence, Arizona in 1911 and living in Trenton, New Jersey in 1915.

Note: At the time of scanning in the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this folder seemed to relate to a different student, Henry Herrara. Those documents have now been included in the Henry Herrera file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 107_folder 4523.

Henry Herrera Student File

Student file of Henry Herrera, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on January 11, 1910, and ultimately departed on September 8, 1916. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a medical/physical record, applications for enrollment, an outing evaluation, a progress/conduct card, trade/position record cards, an outing record, financial transactions, a returned student survey, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Herrera was living in Detroit, Michigan in 1917.

Note: The student is also referred to as Enriques Herrera, Enriquez Herrera, Henriquz Herrera, Henry Herrara, Henry M. Herrera, Enriquet Herrera, Enrique Herrara, and Enriquez M. Herrera throughout the file.

Note: Although this card shows an arrival date of January 12, the admissions ledger and his file suggest that he actually arrived on January 11.

Frank Abrams Student File

Student file of Frank Abrams, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on September 20, 1910. A note in the file indicates that he re-enrolled on June 11, 1916 but no final departure date is given. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, an outing evaluation, outing records, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, financial transactions, a returned student survey, a certificate of promotion, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Abrams worked with the Ford Motor Co. in 1917 and 1918 on the outing program and that after completing the students' course at the Ford Motor Co., was transferred to the Transportation Department and then the Transmission Department at the company in 1918.

Note: The student is referred to in this file as both Frank Abrams and Frank Abram.

Patrick Azure Student File

Student file of Patrick Azure, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 10, 1910 and ultimately departed on August 24, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, letters/correspondence related to Azure working for the Ford Motor Company, an outing evaluation, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, a returned student survey, and outing records.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Patrick Azure and Patrick Azuri.

Note: Students Ovilla Azure and Patrick Azure were brothers.
