Student file of Elizabeth La France, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on August 10, 1901, and ultimately departed on June 22, 1909. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a physical record, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, a conduct card, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating La France was a housewife living in Kooskia, Idaho in 1913.

Note: This student is known as both Elizabeth La France and Lizzie Day. She is not the same student who was previously enrolled as Elizabeth or Lizzie Day (Onondaga). 

Note: La France married fellow student William Corbett.

Note: The student is known as aboth Elizabeth Gibson and Lizzie Gibson.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates Swamp was working at the California Hotel in East De Pere, Wisconsin in 1913 and was working at the Truxton Canon School in Valentine, Arizona in the Indian Service in 1914.

Nellie Thompson Student File

Student file of Nellie Thompson, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 20, 1908 and ultimately departed on July 29, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, progress/conduct cards, a physical record, a certificate of promotion, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, outing records, a financial transaction, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that after leaving Thompson was living in Media, Pennsylvania.

Myrtle Thomas Student File

Student file of Myrtle Thomas, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1908 and ultimately graduated in 1914, departing on June 4, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, a former student response postcard, outing evaluations, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, financial transactions, outing records, a progress/conduct card, and letters/correspondence.

The file indicates that Thomas attended the YMCA convention in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1913, was awarded an essay prize, lived in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1913 and 1914, and was an assistant seamstress and government employee at the Tulalip Indian Agency in Tulalip, Washington in 1914 and 1915.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Florence May Garlow. That document has now been included with the Florence May Garlow file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 85_3948.

Note: The student referred to herself as Mayme Moder.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The files contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, correspondence, medical/physical records, a federal financial aid form, financial transactions, progress/conduct cards, outing evaluations, a report after leaving, and outing records. The file indicates Arch left Carlisle to return to North Carolina in order to care for her brother, Ross Arch.

Note: This student is identified as both Olivan Arch and Olive Arch.

Note: Students Jennie Arch, Johnson Arch, Olivan Arch, and Ross Arch were siblings.

Mary Hinman Student File

The file indicates that Hinman was living in White Eagle, Oklahoma in 1917.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Mae Hinman, May Hinman, and Mary Hinman.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates Hicks had entered the Northeastern State Normal School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and was living in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1917.
