Jane Eyre Student Information Card

Student information card of Jane Eyre, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who visited the school on June 2, 1891 and departed on June 5, 1891.

Note: This card reflects Jane Eyre visiting Carlisle for a few days, coming from the Lincoln Institute in Philadelphia. A response to a survey in 1890 shows that she had been a student at Carlisle for a few months at an earlier date. No documentation has been found specifically using the name Jane Eyre, but we believe she may be the same person listed as Jennie Eyre, who arrived at Carlisle in October 1883 and then transferred to Lincoln Institute in January 1884.
