Student information card of George Conner, a member of the Osage Nation, who entered the school on November 1, 1890 and departed on July 19, 1899. The file indicates Conner was living in Salt Creek, Oklahoma and Grainola, Oklahoma in 1913.

Comments on Original Documents:

This card shows the name incorrectly as "Conners," but the proper form of the name is "Conner." According to his grandson, although the card indicates that George was only 1/4 Osage, he was in fact full blood Osage. George's biological parents were Wah-kon-tah shinka and Le-a-tsa, but they were killed when George was five years old. William Conner (1/2 Osage) and Adeline Newman-Conner (non-Indian) served as his foster parents.
