Fred Lazore Student File

Student file of Wilson Carpenter, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on September 2, 1907 and died on January 21, 1911. The file contains a student information card, a trade record card, a physical record, an application for enrollment, a conduct card, and an outing record. 

Note: Based on currently available documentation, we believe this student is buried in the school cemetery but does not have a headstone.

Charles Arcornge Student File

Student file of Charles Arcornge, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1907, and departed on June 22, 1910. The file contains a student information card, trade/position record cards, an application for enrollment, a physical record card, returned student surveys, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving that indicates Arcornge was working as a laborer in Carter, South Dakota in 1913. Arcornge also attended St. Francis Mission School at some point before arriving at Carlisle.

Note: In this file the student's surname is identified as Arcornge, Arconge, and Arcoren.

Note: Students Charles Arcornge and Rudolph Arcornge were brothers.

Frank Vetternack Student File

Student file of Frank Vetternack, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 1, 1909 an ultimately departed on September 6, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, financial transactions, letters/correspondence, a trade/position record card, a former student response postcard, medical/physical records, an outing evaluation, an application for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates Vetternack was living in Odanah, Wisconsin in 1914, living in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania in 1915, and was a corporal in the American Expeditionary Force stationed at Co. B. 327 Infantry about to ship for France during World War I.

Note: In the student in this file is identified as Frank Vetternack, Frank Vatternack, Frank Vadernack, and Frank Vedernack.

Peter White Student File

Student file of Peter White, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on December 13, 1910 and ultimately departed on June 7, 1916. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, medical/physical records, an outing evaluation, financial transactions, letters/correspondence, and outing records. The file indicates White was living in Gile, New York in 1916 and 1917.

Note: These documents were found in two separate folders at the U.S. National Archives: RG 75_Series 1327_box 110_folder 4596 and RG 75_Series 1327_box 133_folder 5222.

Note: Some of Peter White's documents were originally found in the folder of another student, also named Peter White; NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 100_folder 4360.
