Notes: In this file the student is identified as Sara Carpenter, Sara Carpentar, and Sarah Carpenter.

Emmeline Summers Student File

Student file of Emmeline Summers, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on October 25, 1902 and departed on October 10, 1906. The file contains a student information card, former student response postcards, a trade and position record card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that she was living in Wittenberg, Wisconsin in 1913.

Note: In this file the student's name appears both as Emeline Summers and Emmeline Summers. She also writes back to the school under her married name Emeline Summers Cornelius.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates that Carter returned home to Charenton, Louisiana in 1915 upon leaving.

The file contains a student information card, medical/physical records, an application for enrollment, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, outing evaluations, outing records, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Waterman was awarded a Home Building essay prize from the Commissioner of Indian affairs and was living in Syracuse, New York in 1913 and 1917.
