Casper Cornelius Student File

Student file of Casper Cornelius, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 28, 1897 and ultimately departed on July 18, 1907. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, news clippings, a trade/position record card, a returned student survey, a photograph of the mill where Cornelius worked, a report after leaving, former student response postcards, and correspondence. The file indicates Cornelius attended the Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma and operated a restaurant in Bucklin, Kansas in 1916.

Frank Doxtator Student File

Student File of Frank Doxtator, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on June 29, 1900 and ultimately departed on January 30, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, letters/correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Doxtator was living in Versailles, New York in 1910, was working as a fireman on a Pacific Ocean steamer in 1910, and was stationed on the U.S.S. South Dakota in the U.S. Navy in Guaymas, Mexico in 1913.

Student file of Mitchell White, a member of the St. Regis Nation, who entered the school on June 29, 1900 and ultimately departed on February 8, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, letters/correspondence, financial transactions, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving that indicates White was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1911.

Student file of Daniel Eagle, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on June 21, 1901 graduated in 1904, and departed on June 29, 1906. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, and a returned student survey indicating that in 1907 Eagle was a carpenter living in Crow Creek, South Dakota.

Student file of Moses James, a member of the Covelo Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1901 and ultimately departed on August 27, 1904. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that James was working as a ranch hand in Hopland, California in 1911.

Judson Bertrand Student File

Student file of Judson Bertrand, a member of the Pottawatomi Nation, who entered the school on August 21, 1903 and ultimately departed on January 23, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, a progress/conduct card, a medical/physical record, letters/correspondence, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, news clippings, an outing record, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates that Bertrand was living in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania while working in mechanical dentistry at A. H. Knauff Dental Depot and Laboratory in 1911, was the manager and partner of the dental firm Hood and Bertrand in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1914, and was a member of the American Expeditionary Forces in World War I in 1918.

Note: Students Judson Bertrand and Laura Bertrand were siblings.

Student file of Moses Gray, a member of the Iroquois Nation, who entered the school on November 24, 1904 and departed on June 23, 1909. The file contains a student information card, a medical/physical record, a progress/conduct card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Gray was working as a lumberjack in Hogansburg, New York in 1910.

Note: Gray is listed as a member of the Mohawk and Iroquois Nations.

Charles White Deer Student File

Student file of Charles White Deer, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 12, 1906 and ultimately departed on June 2, 1909. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a physical record, a trade record card, a conduct card, an application for enrollment, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 White Deer was a laborer in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

Zepheniah Simons Student File

Student file of Zepheniah Simons, a member of the Pokanot Nation, who entered the school on October 12, 1908 and ultimately departed on April 9, 1917. He did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a news clipping, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and letters/correspondence including a letter indicating Simons had finished the students course at the Ford Motor Company in 1917.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Zeph E. Simons, Zephania Simon, Z. S. Simon, Zephenia Simon, and Zephenia Simons.

Juan Herrera Student File

Student file of Juan Herrera, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on January 11, 1910 and ultimately departed on January 8, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains letters/correspondence, former student response postcards, medical/physical records, student information cards, outing evaluations, an application for enrollment, trade/position record cards, outing records, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving indicating that Herrera worked at an electric plant in Mescalero, New Mexico in 1913 and was living in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in 1916.
