Manus Screamer Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains newspaper clippings, student information cards, photographs, a business card, letters/correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving that indicates that he was working as a printer in Asheville, North Carolina, in 1910. The file indicates that Screamer married fellow student Nannie Saunooke at the school, in a ceremony directed by Reverend G. M. Diffenderfer, was living in Asheville, North Carolina in 1909, working as a printer and was a musician in his own orchestra in Ashville, North Carolina in 1910 and 1911.
