Edward Rogers (Enwwayie dung) Student File

Student file of Edward Rogers (Enwwayie dung), a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 15, 1890, graduated in 1897, and departed on July 2, 1901. The file contains news clippings, former student response postcards, a student information card, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, and letters/correspondence.

The file indicates Rogers was the captain of the 1900 Carlisle football team and later coached the team.  The file also indicates that Rogers attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), Dickinson College, Dickinson Law School, and the University of Minnesota Law School, was practicing law in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1907, was an attorney at law in Walker, Minnesota from 1909 to 1913, and was elected to the head chief of the Chippewas in 1913.

William Mt. Pleasant Student File

Student file of William Mt. Pleasant, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who entered the school on August 25, 1896, graduated in 1902, and ultimately departed on April 6, 1907. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Mt. Pleasant attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall) in 1902, was a student in a commercial school in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1907, and was farming and occasionally preaching in Lewiston, New York in 1909.

Edison Mt. Pleasant Student File

Student file of Edison Mt. Pleasant, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1903, graduated in 1911, and ultimately departed on December 24, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, letters/correspondence, an outing record, progress/conduct cards, progress/conduct cards from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, and photographs.

The file indicates Mt. Pleasant was a carpenter and cabinet maker that briefly worked at Colestock and Shellhouse in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1910 as part of his outing and began helping around his home in Lewiston, New York in 1913.
