Note: While this card has Cecil's cause of departure as "death," that is not included in his other information card and so far we cannot confirm that he died at the school. No other information yet discovered mentions his death at the school. It seems likely he died after leaving (perhaps soon after leaving), and the word "dead" was written on other cards and mistakenly transferred to this one as the cause of departure.

The file contains a student information card, former student response postcards, news clippings, correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating he was working as a clerk in a store in Sioux City, Iowa in 1913.

Note: These documents were found in two separate folders at the U.S. National Archives: RG 75_Series 1327_box 60_folder 3019 and RG 75_Series 1327_box 37_folder 1810.

Hope Blue Teeth Student File

Note: Although this file does not show it, Blue Teeth was among the first group of students to arrive on October 6, 1879 from the Rosebud agency. She married student Frank Lock.
