The files indicate that Maybee studied nursing at Carlisle, and after leaving, entered the Training School at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Nana Saunooke Student File

Student file of Nana Saunooke, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who enter the school on September 26, 1907, graduated in 1911, and ultimately departed on December 16, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an outing evaluation, letters/correspondence, financial transactions, news clippings, medical/physical records, photographs, a report after leaving, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a returned student survey. The file indicates that Saunooke was trying to get a job as a teacher at the Chilocco Indian School in 1912, but was having some difficulty. The last record shows her doing housework in Brenton, New Jersey in 1914.

Note: In this file the student is identified as both Nana Saunooke and Nan Saunooke.

William Dale (Show-we-tsee) Student File

Student file of William Dale (Show-we-tsee), a member of the Caddo Nation, who entered the school on September 30, 1907 and ultimately departed on October 30, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a medical/physical record, a newspaper clipping, applications for enrollment, student outing records, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, letters/correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Dale worked as a laborer in Oklahoma from 1910 to 1912. One of the included letters is from another student, Simon Blackstar.

Margaret La Vatta Student File

Student file of Margaret La Vatta, a member of the Shoshone nation, who entered the school on October 1, 1907 and departed on April 11, 1912. The file includes a news clipping, a trade card, a returned student survey, a student information card, a report after leaving, a progress card, an outing evaluation, and an outing record. La Vatta married a man named Robert F. LaSalle, and was brought before federal authorities due to their different races. After they proved their feelings for each other to be true the charges were dropped.

Note: In the file the student is identified as Margaret La Vatta, Marguirite La Vatta and Mrs. R. F. LaSalle.

The file contains an outing record, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, student information cards, a progress/conduct card, trade/position record cards, and a newspaper clipping that indicates that Duncan was bailing hay in Covelo, California.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, one of the documents in this file seemed to relate to a different student, also named Roy Duncan. That document has now been included in the appropriate file for Roy Duncan; NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 151_folder 5890.

Student file of Sara Hoxie, a member of the Nomelaki Nation, who entered the school on October 16, 1907 and graduated in 1910. No departure date is given. The file contains a photograph, a medical/physical record, an application for enrollment, news clippings, a report after leaving, trade/position record cards, an outing record, an outing evaluation, and a letter indicating Hoxie was a cook at the Round Valley Indian School in Round Valley, California in 1912.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Sara Hoxie and Sarah Hoxie. Some records in this file indicate that Hoxie is a member of the Gros Ventre Nation.

Margaret Blackwood Student File

Student file of Margaret Blackwood, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1907 and departed on September 30, 1910. The file contains a student information card, physical records, a conduct card, an application for enrollment, correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and an outing record. The files indicate that Blackwood had been a member of the office force of the Carlisle Indian Press, and had married fellow student Sampson Burd. A news clipping relates that she died shortly after their marriage, on their honeymoon.

The file indicates Swamp was working at the California Hotel in East De Pere, Wisconsin in 1913 and was working at the Truxton Canon School in Valentine, Arizona in the Indian Service in 1914.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates Skenandore was farming in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1911 and was living in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1914.

Sampson Burd Student File

Student file of Sampson Burd, a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on December 21, 1907 and ultimately departed on November 1, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a medical/physical record, student information cards, a trade/position record card, a newspaper clipping, progress/conduct cards, progress/conduct cards from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), an application for enrollment, and a report after leaving indicating that Burd was farming in Browning, Montana in 1911.

Note: Burd married fellow student Margaret Blackwood, but she died shortly after their marriage. He subsequently married another former student, Margaret Burgess.

Joseph Northrup Student File

Student file of Joseph Northrup, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on March 16, 1908, and departed on March 11, 1909.  The file contains a student information card, a newspaper clipping, a physical record, an application for admission, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, correspondence, a position card, a progress card, and a report after leaving indicating that Northrup was working as a forest ranger in Sawyer, Minnesota, in 1913.

The file indicates Beaudion was living in Pointe Mills, Michigan in 1910, working at the Wisconsin Iron Co. worked with water pipes and steam fitting to Winona, Michigan in 1911, and as a steamfitter in Pointe Mills, Michigan in 1913.
