Alonzo Patton Student File

Student file of Alonzo Patton, a member of the Alaskan (Tlingit) nation, who entered the school on September 3, 1903 graduated in 1909, and ultimately departed on April 3, 1909. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a conduct card, a newspaper clipping, a trade record card, a physical record, and a letter. 

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Alonzo Patton and Lonnie A. Patton. Some of Patton's documents were originally found in the folder of another student; John Ostrigan, NARA_RG75_Series 1327_box63_folder 3195.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an outing evaluation, an application for enrollment, trade/position record cards, letters/correspondence, a progress/conduct record, and an outing record. The file indicates Wheelock was living in Mount Union, Pennsylvania in 1917.

Richard Hinman Student File

Student file of Richard Hinman, a member of the Ponca Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1905 and departed on June 29, 1910. The file contains a student information card, a progress/conduct card, trade/position record cards, a medical/physical record, an outing record, and a report after leaving. The file also contains letters/correspondence between Richard Hinman and the school between 1910 and 1918 about financial matters, his life after school, and concerns about his younger sister who was a student at the school during that time.

The file indicates Hinman was a farmer in White Eagle, Oklahoma in 1910 and 1915 and was a member of the 142 Infantry Co. E. stationed at Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, Texas in 1918.

The file indicates Owl was a farmhand in Martins Creek, Pennsylvania in 1912 and a farmer in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1913.

The file indicates White was working as a farmer in Decatur, Nebraska in 1913.

Benedict Cloud Student File

Student file of Benedict Cloud, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 14, 1910, graduated in 1912, and ultimately departed on October 2, 1913. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an outing record, letters/correspondence, student information cards, a trade/position record card, a progress/conduct card, medical/physical records and a report after leaving. The file indicates Cloud was a student in Bismark, North Dakota in 1914 and was a teacher at a Medical School in Bismark, North Dakota in 1914.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Benedict Cloud and Benedict Dog Cloud.

Alex Washington Student File

Student file of Alex Washington, a member of the Shawnee Nation, who entered the school on January 14, 1914 and departed on June 20, 1917. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, financial transactions, letters, outing evaluations, certificates of promotion, and an outing record. The file indicates that he tried to join the Navy, but was rejected on account of his eyes.

Note: At the time of the scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Eli Washington. Those documents have now been included with the Eli Washington file: NARA_Series1327_box130_foler5151.
