William B. Jackson Student File

The file seems to contain documents for two students, both members of the Chippewa Nation.  This is suggested by ages, dates, and names.

The first student, William B. Jackson, entered the school on October 31, 1902, and departed on May 30, 1905.  The second student, Willis Jackson, entered the school on October 12, 1910. No departure date for Willis Jackson is provided.

The file contains a student information card, a progress card, a position card, and a report after leaving.  The position card and progress card are for Willis Jackson, while the student information card and report after leaving are for William B. Jackson.  The report after leaving indicates that William B. Jackson was farming in Rosebush, Michigan, in 1910.

Clarence R. Ross Student File

Student file of Clarence R. Ross, a member of the Wichita Nation, who entered the school on September 13, 1908 and departed on June 16, 1913. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, outing evaluations, a returned student survey, outing records, a financial transaction, a progress/conduct card, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Ross was living in Anadarko, Oklahoma in 1913.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to two different students, Willis Jackson and James Shemamy. Peter Jackson Student File

Student file of Peter Jackson, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on February 19, 1909 and departed on December 28, 1911. The file contains an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, a student information card, an outing evaluation, a returned student survey, outing records, a progress/conduct card, a former student response postcard, a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, and letters/correspondence.

The file indicates Jackson attended a Quaker school in 1906, was working for the Pennsylvania Rail road in Red House, New York in 1912.
