Johnson Webster Student File

Student file of Johnson Webster, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 30, 1885 and departed on December 9, 1891. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 Webster was living in Oneida, Wisconsin.

Roger Silas Student File

Student file of Roger Silas, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on June 22, 1888 and ultimately departed on March 12, 1895. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Silas was attended the Martinsburg School, was a carpenter and farmer in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1910, working for the Chicago, Milwaukee, & St. Paul Railroad Co. and learning to be a machinist in Tomah, Wisconsin in 1913, and farming in West De Pere, Wisconsin, in 1914.

Edward Campeau Student File

Student file of Edward Campeau, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 8, 1889, and ultimately departed on August 6, 1896. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards.

Note: Students Edward Campeau and Frank Campeau were probably brothers.

James R. Wheelock Student File

Student file of James R. Wheelock, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 30, 1889 and ultimately departed on June 30, 1897. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, financial transactions, a photograph, returned student survey, news clippings, a report after leaving, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Wheelock was the bandmaster and assistant printer at the Carlisle Indian School for five years, was the proprietor and conductor of Wheelock's Concert Band in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1907 to 1910, and the conductor of the Hagerstown Municipal Band in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1917.

Timothy Henry Student File

Student file of Timothy Henry, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who entered the school on January 31, 1891, graduated in 1896, and ultimately departed on June 11, 1897. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, returned student surveys, a letter/correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Henry was a farmer in Lewiston, New York in 1907 and 1911.

Artie Miller Student File

Student file of Artie Miller, a member of the Stockbridge Nation, who entered the school on December 11, 1891, graduated in 1900, and departed on March 21, 1900. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, correspondence about another student he recommended for Carlisle, and a report after leaving indicating he was working as a mill-hand in Gresham, Wisconsin in 1910.

Note: The student is also referred to as Harty Miller in the file.

W. Leroy Kennedy Student File

The file indicates Kennedy was a fireman on the railroad between Buffalo, New York and Cleveland, Ohio in 1910.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, letters/correspondence, and a report after leaving that indicates Alford was working as a farmer in Earlsboro, Oklahoma in 1911.
