Zepheniah Simons Student File

Student file of Zepheniah Simons, a member of the Pokanot Nation, who entered the school on October 12, 1908 and ultimately departed on April 9, 1917. He did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a news clipping, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and letters/correspondence including a letter indicating Simons had finished the students course at the Ford Motor Company in 1917.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Zeph E. Simons, Zephania Simon, Z. S. Simon, Zephenia Simon, and Zephenia Simons.

Abbie Somers Student File

Student file of Abbie Somers, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 24, 1910 , graduated in 1918, and departed on June 9, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card, applications for enrollment, physical records, letters/correspondence, outing evaluations, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, financial transactions, an outing record, and a certificate of transfer. The files indicate that after graduating, Somers married Roy Oskosh and had returned home to Denver, Colorado. 

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Abbie Summers, Abbie Somers, and Abbie Sommers. 

Note: It is not clear if the student's mother, Christine Archiquette, is the same person who also attended Calisle.

Benjamin F. Caswell Student File

Student file of Benjamin F. Caswell, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 8, 1911 and ultimately departed on June 7, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, an outing evaluation, an outing records, certificates of promotion, a federal financial aid form, financial transactions, a trade/position record card, and correspondence. The file indicates Caswell was a lieutenant in the school and was living in Bemidji, Minnesota in 1918.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Benjamin F. Caswell and Frederick B. Caswell.

Note: Students Benjamin F. Caswell, Eva Caswell and Louisa/Charlotte Caswell were siblings and their father was former student Louis R. Caswell. 

Note: A document of Benjamin F. Caswell was originally found in the folder of another student named Benjamin Caswell (NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 134_folder 5260).

The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, financial transactions, certificates of promotion, and correspondence indicating that Oshkosh returned home to in Neopit, Wisconsin, with his brother, Roy Oshkosh, in 1918.

A note in the file says that she re-enrolled on October 2, 1917, but no final departure date is given. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, certificate of promotions, an outing record, a medical/physical record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Oshkosh was living in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1918.
