Abram Hill Student File

Student file of Abram Hill, a member of the Oneida nation, who entered the school on June 22, 1887 and ultimately departed on May 19, 1897. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a letter/correspondence, an index card that recommends him as a farmer, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Hill was a farmer in Oneida, Wisconsin in 1911, 1912, and 1913, and living in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1914.

Note: In this file the student is identified primarily as Abram Hill while at the school and as Charles Abram Hill or Charles A. Hill after departing. 

Note: This file originally contained an application for enrollment for another student; Abraham M. Hill. The card has since been moved to the correct file; NARA_1327_RG 75_Series 1327_box 154_folder 6044.

Student file of James Browndog (Working Bearer), a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 11, 1901, and departed on July 6, 1907. The file contains correspondence, a returned student survey, a photograph, a student information card, and a report after leaving indicating he was a stock man in Cherry Creek, South Dakota in 1910. 

Note: Students James Browndog and Laura Browndog were probably siblings.

The file indicates White was living in Ilion, New York in 1914 and Hogansburg, New York in 1915 and 1917.

The file indicates Summers was a farmer in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1911 and 1914 and worked in a lumber camp in Watersmeet, Michigan in 1914.
