Francis Red Tomahawk Student File

The file indicates Anderson was working as a laborer and trapper in Lewiston, New York in 1911 and then was an assistant road foreman in 1913.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates Welch was working on a farm in Spooner, Wisconsin and was a student at the State Agriculture College (University of Wisconsin) in Madison, Wisconsin in 1915, was a bugler in Co. D 6th Wisconsin Infantry at Camp Douglas, Wisconsin 1917, was a member of the 107 2nd Co. Mounted Military Police at Camp McArthur in Waco, Texas in 1917, and ultimately served in France during World War I.
