Mabel Doanmoe (Little) Student File

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Howard Chawip and Howard Whitewolf.

Student information card of Chester Arthur, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1879 and died on July 1, 1882, apparently while attending the school. (The date of his death and his discharge from the school are the same.)

Note: In a letter describing the first students to enter the school, it seems likely that this student was identifed by Pratt as Chastine. That student was also 15 and of the Cheyenne nation. No further information was provided.

Student information card of Mary North, a member of the Arapahoe Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1879 and departed on February 26, 1884. The file indicates North was married and living in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1913.

U.S. Grant (Grant Lefthand) Student File

Student file of U.S. Grant (Grant Lefthand). No entrance or departure dates are given, and no Nation is given. The file contains a returned student survey and a report after leaving indicating that Grant was married to Kate Stalker and working as a clerk in an Indian Trader store in Darlington, Oklahoma in 1911.

Note: This person was known as U.S. Grant when he was a student, and as Grant Lefthand after leaving. Grant was a member of the Arapaho nation who arrived at the school on October 27, 1879 and departed on June 21, 1881.
