Thomas Hawk Student File

The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, an application for enrollment, a news clipping, a progress/conduct card, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Hawk played football while at Carlisle and was a member of the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Caswell where he was a member of the Fort baseball team and band as well as a wrestler and boxer. He was further chosen as a member of the trench mortars, Battery B known as the "Suicide Brigade" or "The Hub of the Wheel" in 1917.
