Johnson Adams Student File

Student file of Johnson Adams, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 7, 1889, graudated in 1896, and ultimately departed on August 4, 1896. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, returned student surveys, former student response surveys, letters/correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Adams attended the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas in 1896 and 1897, worked as an agency carpenter in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1909, and as a general mechanic in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1915.

Zepheniah Simons Student File

Student file of Zepheniah Simons, a member of the Pokanot Nation, who entered the school on October 12, 1908 and ultimately departed on April 9, 1917. He did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a news clipping, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and letters/correspondence including a letter indicating Simons had finished the students course at the Ford Motor Company in 1917.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Zeph E. Simons, Zephania Simon, Z. S. Simon, Zephenia Simon, and Zephenia Simons.

Ralph Tourtillotte Student File

Student file of Ralph Tourtillotte, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1914 and ultimately graduated in 1917, departing on May 31, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a physical record, letters/correspondence, financial transactions, a former student response postcard, an outing record, and a certificate of promotion. The files indicate that after graduating, Tourtillotte lived at home in Lily, Wisconsin and was interested in attending Mercersburg Academy in Pennyslvania.
