The file indicates Guyon played football as a student in 1905, was a ballplayer in Chicago, Illinois in 1910, was working as the manager of the college department of A. G. Spalding Bros. in Atlanta, Georgia in 1911 and 1914, was a coach for the Georgia School of Technology in 1915 and 1916, and was living in Atlanta, Georgia in 1917.

Peter J. Jordan Student File

Student file of Peter J. Jordan, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 7, 1907 and ultimately departed on September 30, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains photographs, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, student information cards, a medical/physical record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Jordan played football and baseball at Carlisle, was the Captain of Company A at Carlisle, and had enrolled at the Keewatin Academy in Villa Louis, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin in 1914.

Note: In this file there is also an application for a coal mining lease covering Navajo tribal lands from L. A. Myers on November 20, 1937.

Student file of Iva Miller, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1909, graduated in 1912, and departed on June 24, 1912. The file includes a student information card, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, an outing record, an outing evaluation, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, photographs, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that after graduating Miller married Jim Thorpe, they were living together in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1917.

Note: In the file the student is identified as Iva Miller, Margaret Miller, Iva Thorpe and Iva Miller Thorpe.

The file contains a student information card, letters/correspondence, medical/physical records, a newspaper clipping, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record cards, an application for enrollment, a former student response postcard, an outing record, and a report after leaving indicating that Lamont was living in Pawhuska, Oklahoma in 1910.

Alvis Morrin Student File

Student file of Alvis Morrin, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 14, 1911, graduated in 1914, and ultimately departed on May 23, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a news clipping, an outing evaluation, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, financial transactions, a report after leaving, a trade/position record card, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Morrin was a member of the school band, a student at the Carlisle Commercial College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, was living in Bayfield, Wisconsin in 1914, and was stationed at Headquarters 3rd Regiment, Camp Dewey, Great Lakes, Illinois in 1917 and 1918.

Joseph Guyon Student File

Student file of Joseph Guyon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on December 7, 1911 and departed on June 15, 1914. The file contains student information cards, medical and physical records, an outing evaluation, an application for enrollment, a report after leaving, and a former student response post card. The file also contains numerous letters and correspondence and news clippings detailing Joseph Guyon's career playing football for the school and later for the Georgia School of Technology. These letters and news clippings deal with issues regarding Guyon's eligiblity to play for Georgia Tech due to the Carlisle Indian School's collegiate status in althetics.

Joseph Muggins Student File

Student file of Joseph Muggins, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1913 and departed on June 10, 1914. The file contains a student information card, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Muggins was living in Rosebud, South Dakota in 1914 and 1915.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to different students, Cat Barnoskie and Joseph Guyon. Those documents have now been included with the respective files: Cat Barnoskie, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 84_folder 3903; and Joseph Guyon, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 95_folder 4213.
