James Compton Student File

Student file of James Compton, a member of the Shoshone Nation, who entered the school September 3, 1898 and ultimately departed on October 7, 1906. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, news clippings, and a report after leaving that indicates Compton was working as a farmer in Ross Fork, Idaho in 1911.

Note: In this file the student is identified as both James Compton and Jimmie Compton.

The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving indicating Miguel was working as a rail road machinist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1910 and 1912.

Frank DeFoe Student File

Student file of Frank DeFoe, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on December 25, 1900, and departed on June 24, 1906.  The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving indicating that DeFoe was working in Brevator, Minnesota, in 1914, as a farmer.  

Note: DeFoe was married to former student Emma Strong.

Philip Lazore (Aritonko) Student File

Student file of Philip Lazore (Aritonko), a member of the Iroquois Nation, who entered the school on August 10, 1901, and departed on May 20, 1904.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Lazore was working as a laborer in Racket River, New York in 1911.

The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that he was ranching in Bullhead, South Dakota in 1910.

Charles Driskell Student File

Student file of Charles Driskell, a member of the Shoshone Nation, who entered the school on June 25, 1904 and ultimately departed on January 23, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a medical/physical record card, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, a news clipping, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Driskell was working as a laborer on irrigation works in Fort Washakie, Wyoming in 1911.

Note: In this file the student's surname is identified as Driscoll and Driskell.

Axtel Hayes Student File

Student file of Axtel Hayes, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on March 3, 1905, and departed on September 30, 1910. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, trade/position record cards, a physical record, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, and a news clipping that indicates Hayes was playing baseball in Spokane, Washington in 1911.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Axtel Hayes and Axtell Hayes.

Student file of David Henry Robinson, a member of the Klamath Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1905 and departed on June 22, 1910. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, a newspaper clipping, letters/correspondence, returned student surveys, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving indicating that Robinson was working as U.S. mail carrier in Sawyer's Bar, California in 1912.

Note: These documents were found filed at the U.S. National Archives in the same folder as documents related to a different David H. Robinson.
