Mabel Gilpin Student File

Student file of Mabel Gilpin, a member of the Omaha Nation, who entered the school on March 30, 1912 and departed on February 24, 1916. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, outing evaluations, financial transaction, an outing record, a medical/physical record, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Gilpin was living in Macy, Nebraska in 1916 and 1917.

Note: One of Mabel Gilpin's documents was originally found in the folder of another student; Albert Masquat, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 92_folder 4234.

Alex Washington Student File

Student file of Alex Washington, a member of the Shawnee Nation, who entered the school on January 14, 1914 and departed on June 20, 1917. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, financial transactions, letters, outing evaluations, certificates of promotion, and an outing record. The file indicates that he tried to join the Navy, but was rejected on account of his eyes.

Note: At the time of the scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Eli Washington. Those documents have now been included with the Eli Washington file: NARA_Series1327_box130_foler5151.
