Note: This student became known at the school as George Hollow Horned Bear, and later as George Hollow Horned Bull. He later reenrolled at the school on November14, 1883, departing on July 6, 1885.

Frank Twiss Student File

Student File of Frank Twiss, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879 and ultimately departed on February 14, 1884. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a former student response postcard, student information cards and a report after leaving indicating he was a rancher in Porcupine, South Dakota in 1910.

Note: Twiss married former student Adelia Lowe.

Raymond Stewart Student File

Student file of Raymond Stewart, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879, and ultimately departed on July 8, 1889. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, photographs, letters/correspondence related to the American Indian Association and Stewart's reflection on his time at Carlisle, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Stewart was a painter in Rosebud, South Dakota in 1910 and living in Rosebud, South Dakota in 1912.

Note: In this file the student is identified as both Raymond White Bull and Raymond Stewart.

Note: It is likely that Stewart married fellow student Amy Crowdog.

Note: Cook actually first entered the school on October 6, 1879 and departed on June 19, 1882, according to one of her student information cards. Therefore, this file seems to include only information about her second stay at the school.

Note: Cook was married to former student Norris Stranger Horse.

Julia Good Voice (Julia Iron Eagle Feather) Student Information Card

Note: Although it is not included here, this student seems to have been commonly known as Julia Good Voice. She married fellow student Ralph Iron Eagle Feather and was the mother of Lydia Biddle Eagle Feather. She, Ralph and Lydia returned to the school on October 10, 1886. Julia's reenrollment is documented on cards under her married name, Julia Iron Eagle Feather.
