Obed Axtell Student File

Student file of Obed Axtell, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on September 4, 1907 and ultimately departed on June 7, 1916. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, financial transactions, outing evaluations, outing records, a conduct card, a physical record, progress/conduct reports from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), and letters/correspondence. The files indicate that Axtell took classes at Conway Hall, and after leaving Carlisle, returned home to Kemiah, Idaho.

Wesley Youngbird Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains financial transactions, student information cards, outing evaluations, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, a certificate of promotion, and letters/correspondence mainly regarding Youngbird's service in the Navy in World War I in 1918.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Wesly YoungBird, Wesly Youngbird, and Wesley Young Bird throughout the file.

David Thompson Student File

Student file of David Thompson, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on December 2, 1911 and departed on August 13, 1917. A note in the file says he re-enrolled on October 14, 1917, but no final departure date is given. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, an outing evaluation, outing records, a medical/physical record, a certificate of promotion, a progress/conduct card, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Thompson was a member of the U.S. Army in Co. 4, 1st Training Battalion stationed at Camp Lee in Petersburg, Virginia.

George Cushing Student File

Student file of George Cushing, a member of the Alaskan (Aleute) Nation, who entered the school on July 22, 1912, graduated in 1918, and departed on June 8, 1918. The file contains a student information card, letters/correspondence, a returned student survey, an outing evaluation, an outing record, an application for enrollment, a certificate of transfer, a financial transaction, and certificates of promotion. The files indicate that while at Carlisle, Cushing studied engineering.

Abel Greeley Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains progress/conduct cards, letters/correspondence, student information cards, an application for enrollment, financial transactions, and an outing record. The file indicates Greeley was living in Peever, South Dakota in 1914 and 1917.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and re-entered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, letters and correspondence, physical records, financial transactions, an outing record, and a certificate of promotion. The files indicate Welch was interested in furthering his education after leaving Carlisle.

The file indicates Wilkie was living in Belcourt, North Dakota in 1915.

Perry Keotah (Ki-ah-tigh) Student File

Student file of Perry Keotah (Ki-ah-tigh), a member of the Kiowa Nation, who entered the school on October 9, 1913 and ultimately departed on June 12, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, financial transactions, an application for enrollment, a certificate of promotion, an outing record, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Keotah was living in Verden, Oklahoma in 1918.

Emerson Metoxen Student File

Student file of Emerson Metoxen, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 26, 1914, and departed on June 14, 1918. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, outing evaluations, certificates of promotion, letters and correspondence concerning Metoxen overcoming a mild case of appendicitis, outing records, and financial transactions. The records indicate that after leaving Carlisle, Metoxen worked at a shipyard in Wisconsin.

Ralph Tourtillotte Student File

Student file of Ralph Tourtillotte, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1914 and ultimately graduated in 1917, departing on May 31, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a physical record, letters/correspondence, financial transactions, a former student response postcard, an outing record, and a certificate of promotion. The files indicate that after graduating, Tourtillotte lived at home in Lily, Wisconsin and was interested in attending Mercersburg Academy in Pennyslvania. 

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Ralph Tourtillotte and Ralph Tourtillott.

Ellis S. Wright Student File

Student file of Ellis S. Wright, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on September 4, 1915. No departure date is given. The file contains student information card, an application for enrollment, a certificate of promotion, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Wright was working at the Hog Island Ship yards in Hog Island, Pennsylvania in 1918.

Impson Anderson Student File

Student file of Impson Anderson, a member of the Choctaw Nation, who entered the school on September 4, 1915 and departed on July 10, 1918. The file indicates that Anderson returned home to Ada, Oklahoma in 1918 upon the closing of the school.

Note: Students George Anderson and Impson Anderson appear to be brothers.
