Peter J. Jordan Student File

Student file of Peter J. Jordan, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 7, 1907 and ultimately departed on September 30, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains photographs, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, student information cards, a medical/physical record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Jordan played football and baseball at Carlisle, was the Captain of Company A at Carlisle, and had enrolled at the Keewatin Academy in Villa Louis, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin in 1914.

George Gordon Student File

Student file of George Gordon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 15, 1909 and departed on January 23, 1911. The file contains a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, trade position record cards, and letters/correspondence, and a news clipping that indicates Gordon was a butcher at Kranzfielder Bros. in Bayfield, Wisconsin and was a pitcher in two baseball matches against a Japanese team.
