Laura Browdog (Red House) Student File

Student file of Laura Browndog (Red House), a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 11, 1901 and departed on June 27, 1906. The file contains correspondence, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, a student information card, and a report after leaving indicating she was a housewife in Cherry Creek, South Dakota in 1914.

Note: Students James Browndog and Laura Browndog were probably siblings.

Margaret Jane Brown Student File

Student file of Margaret Jane Brown, a member of the Alaskan (Tlingit) nation, who entered the school on October 24, 1903, graduated in 1915, and departed in May, 1915. The file includes an application for enrollment, correspondence, student information cards, a progress/conduct card, outing records, outing evaluations, financial transactions, medical/physical records, a federal financial aid form, and a returned student survey. The file indicates that Brown attended the Normal School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and made inquiries to attend the Hampton Normal School in Hampton, Virginia.

Note: In the file the student is referred to as Margaret Jane Brown and Maggie Jane Brown.

Student information card of Margaret Jane Brown (here Maggie Brown), a member of the Alaskan Nation, who entered the school on October 24, 1903. The information card indicates that Brown had graduated in 1915, married Edward Ridley, and was living in Ketchikan, Alaska in 1918.

Student file of Lucy Cummings, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on August 31, 1906, and departed on December 5, 1906. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, an application for enrollment, and a report after leaving indicating Cummings was a housewife living in San Antonio, Texas in 1913.

Anna King (Sophia King) Student File

Student file of Anna King, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 8, 1910, and departed on June 1, 1915. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, physical records, outing evaluations, a position record card, financial transactions, a conduct card, letters and correspondence, and outing records.

Note: Because there was another student named Anna King attending the school at the time time, this student was also called Sophia King.
