Ellen Hansel Student File

Student file of Ellen Hansel, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on August 31, 1882, and ultimately departed on July 8, 1889. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, a returned student survey, photographs, a report after leaving, and a former student response postcard indicating Hansel was working as a housekeeper in Clinton, Oklahoma in 1913. 

Note: Student is referred to as both Ellen Hansel and Helen Hansel throughout these records.

Student information card of Ellen (here Helen) Hansel, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 21, 1886 and departed on July 8, 1889. The file indicates Hansel was married and living in Clinton, Oklahoma in 1913.

Note: Other records show Hansel first enrolled at the school on August 31, 1882. This card reflects her later reenrollment.
