William Spier (Not ah not sa) Student File

Student file of William Spier, a member of the Navajo Nation, who entered the school on October 15, 1908 and departed on May 12, 1911. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, a medical/physical record, returned student surveys, a newspaper clipping, an outing record, a descriptive statement of students from the San Juan Agency, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, and correspondence that indicate William was an assistant farmer with the Indian Agency at the San Juan Indian School in Ship Rock, New Mexico in 1911 and again in 1914.

In school documentation William Spier's name is also spelled William Spear. He is also known as Willie Spier and Not ah not sa.
