Pearl Bonser Student File

Student file of Pearl Bonser, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1910 and departed on April 4, 1914. The file contains a student information card, a medical/physical record, a progress/conduct card, financial transactions, a news clipping, a report after leaving, a photograph, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Bonser attended the YMCA conference in 1913, was awarded an essay prize through the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and a housewife living in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1914 and 1915.

In school documentation Pearl Bonser's name is also spelled Peral Bonser (likely a typo). She is also known as Pearl A. Bonser and Pearl C. Bonser. Her married name is Pearl Saunooke or Pearl Bonser Saunooke (Mrs. Samuel Saunooke).
