Nettie Horne Student File

Student file of Nettie (here Jeannette A.) Horne, a member of Karuk Nation who arrived at the school on October 12, 1895, graduated in 1899, and departed on July 6, 1899. The file contains a returned student survey and a report after leaving. The file indicates Horne attended the Eureka High School in Eureka, California and Riverside Business College, and was a stenographer and bookkeeper in San Francisco, California from 1909 to 1911.

In school documentation Nettie Horne is also known as Jeannette A. Horne. Her married name is Nettie Beaver.

Note: Although documentation in her file lists Nettie Horne as Klamath, a researcher has indicated that she is actually Karuk.
