Louisa Katchicum Student File

Student File of Louisa Katchicum, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on August 24, 1905 and ultimately departed on May 8, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains correspondence, student information cards, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, a former student response postcard, an outing evaluation, a trade/position record card, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, an outing record, a returned student survey, financial transactions, and a 1915 Commencement Week program. The file indicates Katchicum was a housekeeper in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1913.

In school documentation Louisa Katchicum's name is also spelled Louisa Kachicum, Louise Kechicum, Louis Ketchicum, and Louise Kachicum. She is also known as Louisa O'Kachikum (also spelled Louise OKachekum). Her married name is Louisa K. Loudbear (Mrs. Joseph Loudbear).
