George S. Watchman (Saahtlie) Student File

Student file of George S. Watchman, a member of the Navajo Nation, who entered the school on October 21, 1882 and departed on July 8, 1889. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 Watchman was raising sheep in Fort Defiance, Arizona.

In school documentation George S. Watchman is also known as Saahtlie, Chewing Rock, and George Watchman.

Note: Although his name is spelled "Saahtile" on the back of his information card, that appears to be a typo, since the name appears in numerous other publications and documents as "Saahtlie."
