George Ferris Student File

Student file of George Ferris, a member of the Karuk Nation, who entered the school on July 26, 1897, graduated in 1901, and departed on March 20, 1901. The file contains a news clipping, correspondence, a returned student survey, a student information card, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Ferris was working as a blacksmith in Washington in 1907, repairing locomotives in Spokane, Washington in 1911, living in Portland, Oregon in 1911, and a machinist in Portland, Oregon in 1912.

In school documentation George Ferris is also known as George W. Ferris.

Note: Although documentation in his file lists George Ferris as Klamath, a researcher has indicated that he is actually Karuk.
