Artie Smith Student File

Student file of Artie Smith, a member of the Wyandotte Nation, who entered the school on November 2, 1888 and departed on January 5, 1893. The file contains a news clipping, a returned student survey, a student information card, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Smith graduated from the Normal Department at the Haskell Institute in 1898, an assistant matron at the Haskell Institute and the Tomah Indian School, and was a housekeeper in Wyandotte, Oklahoma in 1910.

In school documentation Artie Smith's married name is Artie Smith Peacore or Artie S. Peacore (Mrs. Edward J. Peacore).
