Student Files

The Student Files section of the website features digitized copies of paper records on individual students at the school. These records were maintained by the administrative offices at the school during its years of operation. A variety of personal information about each student may be found within these files, including family background, age, height and weight. Files may also include information about admission and dates of attendance, outings, health, school activities, and life after separation from the school. A guide to the types of documents typically found among these files can be found here. Today these records are preserved at the U. S. National Archives within Record Group 75, Entry numbers 1327 through 1330.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a letter/correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Whiteshield was a farmer in Watonga, Oklahoma in 1910 and an interpreter in Watonga, Oklahoma in 1912.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Spread Hands was a housewife in Cantonment, Oklahoma in 1910 and a housewife in Eagle City, Oklahoma in 1914.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Jessie Spread Hands and Jessie Spreadhand.
