Student Files

The Student Files section of the website features digitized copies of paper records on individual students at the school. These records were maintained by the administrative offices at the school during its years of operation. A variety of personal information about each student may be found within these files, including family background, age, height and weight. Files may also include information about admission and dates of attendance, outings, health, school activities, and life after separation from the school. A guide to the types of documents typically found among these files can be found here. Today these records are preserved at the U. S. National Archives within Record Group 75, Entry numbers 1327 through 1330.

Note: The student in this file is identified as Frank Kabogun, Frank Kobagom, and Frank Kobogun. At the time of scanning at the U. S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Frank Koyana. That document has now been included with the Frank Koyana file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 110_folder 4606.

Caroline Brown Student File

Student file of Caroline Brown, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 19, 1915 and ultimately departed on October 3, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a trade and position record card, certificates of promotion, financial transactions, and letters and correspondence regarding the student's health and enrollment at the school.

Note: The student is referred to as Caroline Brown and Carrie Brown interchangeably in the file. Her father was former student Julius Brown.

The files indicate that after graduating, Hall returned home to Vian, Oklahoma.

The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, an outing evaluation, certificates of promotion, letters and correspondence, and an outing record. The file indicates that Hornbuckle enlisted in the U.S. Army while on outing but was rejected because he was under age.
