Edwin Smith Student File

Student file of Edwin Smith, a member of the Clallam Nation, a member of the Clallam Nation, who entered the school on July 7, 1896, graduated in 1901, and departed on March 17, 1901. The file contains news clippings, photographs, a former student response postcard, and returned student surveys.

The file indicates that Smith was a member of the Carlisle football team, worked as a steam fitter and assistant engineer for the American Tanners Glue Co. in Gowanda, New York, a fireman and engineer for the Erie Preserving Company in Brant, New York, steam fitting for the Seattle Electric Company in Seattle, Washington, a farmer and steamfitter in Irving, New York in 1907, a disciplinarian at the Salem Indian School in Chemawa, Oregon in 1909, 1911, 1913, and 1914, and was an officer in the Chemawa Battalion in 1914.

In school documentation Edwin Smith is also known as Edwin A. Smith.
