Evelyn Blackbird Student File

Student file of Evelyn Blackbird, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 31, 1909 and ultimately departed on June 1, 1915. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, returned student surveys, financial transactions, a medical/physical record, a federal financial aid form, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, a trade/position record card, outing records, a progress/conduct card, and correspondence. The file indicates Blackbird was living in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin in 1915.

In school documentation Evelyn Blackbird's name is also spelled Eveline Blackbird and Evylyn Blackbird. She is also known as Evaline Black. Her married name is Evelyn Devine (Mrs. Thomas Devine).

Note: Blackbird married fellow student Thomas DeVine.
